2010 Exhibition
A little earlier than in previous years, the 2010 exhibition was held over the weekend of 2nd/3rd October, at which time it enjoyed far better weather than in the immediately preceding years - and more daylight!
As is now usual we had a quiz for the under-16s, designed principally to get them looking more closely at the layouts. This year four children answered all the questions correctly and as there was just one prize, a Hornby loco with truck and brake van set donated by World of Model Railways, Mevagissey, we had to have a draw for the winner, which was six year old Merlin, from Trelights.

Below are photos of some of the exhibits at the 2010 Exhibition.

Stephen Austin
Stephen Austin, the well-known railway author, had a stand about China Clay traffic.
  Layout
Mike Curtis's "Abbey Wood" 0 Gauge GWR rural branch line travelled from South Wales to be at the show.

Layout
"Penryn Passing Loop" was constructed to demonstrate how the new single platform face passing loop at Penryn would operate. During our show the disused platform gained a large amount of vegetation, just as at Penryn!
Layout
Oliver Ridges's "Bodmin to Wadebridge" is an N Gauge interpretation of the line from Bodmin General to Wadebridge, with some liberal interpretation of locomotive power! However, a red Routemaster did operate from Wadebridge during BWR 175 in 2009.

Layout
The Hornby Railway Collectors Association departed from their more normal display of 0 Gauge Hornby with a demonstration of Tri-ang TT from the 1950s.
Layout
This year the Brigwater and District Model Railway Club brought another of their many layouts, Chedway.

Layout
We have seen Damian Ross at Wadebridge twice before with the jointly-owned "Treneglos". This year he brought his own new EM Gauge layout, "Diesels in the Duchy", based on the St Blazey MPD.
Layout
Who said Big is Beautiful? "MBowla" is John Bowler's 009 model of a South African mine railway and a 2' gauge main line, featuring his powerful Garrett loco.

Layout
The Cornwall 0 Gauge Group had a stand offering advice, or just a chat, for all interested in 7mm modelling. Here Mick Lewis is on the left and Jim Penaluna on the right.
Layout
Another GWR 0 Gauge branch terminus was Roy Payne's "Venton Bridge". We were very grateful to Roy for stepping in at the last minute when another layout was unable to attend.

Layout
Edwin Adcock was describing the black art of casting white metal kits, and their assembly.
Layout
Craft Made Signals had a display of hand made signals in various scales.

Layout
John Ferrier's ever-popular Hornby Dublo layout, "The Oval" never fails to attract a lot of attention.
Layout
Chris Brown's G Scale layout is only 5' 3" square but packs a lot of action and is available for young engine drivers to operate.

Layout
The Hayle Model Railway Club brought their "Iron Bridge" layout, based on the Newquay line and the infamous bridge on Goss Moor. No bridge-bashes occured during the weekend though!
Layout
"Osney Town" is Rob Foster's awe-inspiring diorama based on the former station at Durlsey, Gloucs. We thought his "Bude Quay" was good in 2008, but this is truly superb. What will he come up with next?
