| Wow! Who saw that coming? In the past we have battled gales and heavy rain, with one year when it
was almost impossible to keep the school's door open, but this year we were faced with one of the hottest
weekends of the year - with the Saturday being the day the highest ever temperature for October was recorded.
Although attendance on the Saturday was quite good, that on the Sunday was very disappointing - maybe we should
have relocated to the beach! As is now usual we had a quiz for the under-16s, designed principally to get them looking more closely at the layouts. This year eight children answered all the questions correctly and as there was just one prize, a Bachmann loco donated by World of Model Railways, Mevagissey, we had to have a draw for the winner, which was seven year old Ben, from Leeds. Made his journey worthwhile! |

 John Baggerley's "West London Parcels" is based on a long gone LSWR line near what is now Kensington Olympia and was one of two layouts at this year's exhibition to feature Southern Electric units. |
 Wadebridge resident John Greenwood brought his superb 2mm fine scale "Wenfordbridge depot", complete with its working road vehicles and loading crane. |

 M'bowla Mine, John Bowler's South African narrow gauge layout may be small but is packed with detail. This layout featured in the August 2011 Continental Modeller. |
 The second layout with an SR EMU was George Woolough's Upsan Downs from Denbighshire which is loosely based on Banstead station. |

 Regular vistors the Burnham & District M R C brought a new, smaller than usual layout, Butts End. |
 Woolbridge is an SR/GWR layout owned by several members of the Cornwall '0' Gauge Group. |

 Peter Lewis' Cantrell & Redlake Light Railway is an '0' Gauge representation of a line in the preservation era. |
